
Entry Guidelines
The1st Annual Hebrew Academy Art Festival will offer a unique opportunity for artists to show and sell their artwork in a one-day exhibit. The exhibition will feature recently created original artwork in various mediums, including oils and acrylics, watercolor, charcoal, pen and ink, sculpture, photography and mixed media.

Participating Artists:
From all levels of notoriety, skill, and accomplishment
From students to emerging artists to established artists.
Everyone is welcome!
YOUTH DIVISION
Kindergarten - 2nd Grade
3rd Grade - 5th Grade
6th Grade - 8th Grade
9th Grade - 12th Grade
ADULT DIVISION
Open to ages 18 and older.
The theme of the Hebrew Academy Art exhibition
is Jewish Culture.
We are reaching out to the Orange County artist community in the hopes of recruiting imaginative,
creative and talented local artists and those who appreciate their art.
We anticipate that together we all will achieve the goal of sharing amazing Jewish art and culture.

Exhibition is limited to one (1) work of art per artist.

Registration is required and may be limited as space permits.

Photos of entries must accompany the application.

Deadline for entries October 13, 2022.

Original artwork only!

Please do not submit works copied from published photos or artist reproductions.

Photography must be signed and numbered.

All ages by category: Kindergarten - 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade - 5th Grade, 6th Grade - 8th Grade, 9th Grade - 12th Grade, And 18+

Works must have been created within the last two years.

All two-dimensional artwork must be framed or on canvas with finished edges, ready to be hanged.

Two-dimensional artwork size limit, not bigger than 24” x 24” (dimensions do not include frame).

Delivery and retrieval of all artwork must be done in person.

NO EARLY REMOVAL OF ARTWORK.

All works of art must be available until 4 PM. the day of the event. No exceptions.
Please note:
Due to space constraints, size limitations are strictly enforced. Your work needs to be able to be moved by Hebrew Academy staff for final placement in the exhibition.
Artist's Artwork Retrieval
Artists must retrieve artwork promptly at show closing: Sunday, November 13, 2022: 4:30 p.m.

The Hebrew word for “life” is “chai.” That's chet (8) and yud (10). Thus 18 stands for the “chai” or “life.” It is custom to give in multiples of 18.

Photographing your submission for entry
Digital photo submission of your entry is required prior to the show.
Please take a clear photo, avoid blurriness, image distortion, image retouching. Image Format •jpg or .jpeg.

First Round Judging
Fine Art entries will be judged first from uploaded images viewed online to determine if the submitted entry meets the requirements for participation in this competition.
You will be notified by email with the results of the first round judging.
* Only accepted artwork is to be delivered on the
Entry Delivery Day.
